Rutten Wheels
A long-year R & D on the field of shot blasting wheels lead to the realization of a new type of turbine with remarkable qualities and advantages thanks to special curved blades, manufactured from a special hard steel alloy, the "Rutten" blast wheel:
- Straaltechniek International guarantees a working life of the blade eight times longer as in the past, although in practice, far longer tool life can be expected.
- an increased outlet speed of the abrasives resulting in increased productivity, by as much as 70 % and a better blasting of areas that are difficult to reach.
- Depending on the items to be treated, the blast pattern can be adjusted from extremely wide to very concentrated ; the even wear across the width and length of the blades means that the blast pattern does not change.
- The special design and location of the blades make the abrasive flow in a smooth movement from the impeller/cage on to the blades, which reduces immediate breakage of the grains significantly.
Thanks to the special hard metal blades, even hard angular abrasive can be used in the wheels, by which all the requirements of roughness and cleanliness of the pieces to be treated can be obtained.
