Installation for the decontamination of radioactively contaminated material, delivered at Belgoprocess
Belgoprocess is located in Dessel and Mol, 60 kilometres east of Antwerp. This subsidiary of the Belgian National Agency for Radioactive Waste and Irradiated Fissile Materials (NIRAS/ ONDRAF), carries out two important tasks in the nuclear wastage industry. The main activities of Belgoprocess are the processing and storage of radioactive waste and the decommissioning of nuclear facilities involves decontamination, dismantling of plant equipment and facilities, demolition of buildings and structures and management of resulting materials.
